Damn, these guys know how to adorn epic music with sub-par cover art - but "Lamenting..." proves to be an absolute stunner once it plays. Sorcerer deliver another masterclass in Epic Doom, merging traditional vibes with contemporary production values AND sounding fresh while doing so. The songs may be even stronger than before, with no fillers and huge vocal lines throughout. If you're remotely interested in the melancholy-ridden yet powerful fringes of Epic Metal, this is mandatory.

An impressive work of progressive metal, seems initially to be taken out of the best moments of the genre’s behemoths (Fates Warning, Dream Theater). However, with enough distinction and personality, featuring Greek folk elements here and there, the musicianship mastery of the band members make tracks like Nemmortal, Norchestrion and Circadian, bright jewels for the genre and for metal in general. A must have album!!!
