It shouldn't be allowed for a band to release such an engaging and energised album over 30 years into their career (see also, Enslaved), but here we are. Most of the hallmarks of classic 90's prog death are on display (jazz & thrash influences, melodic bass), something that really distinguishes Firescorched is the keys, adding an additional melodic element.
