H.L. The predecessor "Inheritance of beauty" made it into my Top 10 for 2021. Also "Nekyia" is on that way although this pathetic symphonic power metal style is not my usual listening habit. But WINTERAGE has that certain something. They play and sing passionately and powerful on the highest level, perform well arranged songs, spread soundtrack intensity and integrate orchestral elements in a very organic way. I would appreciate more female vocals but besides that it is big fun to listen to "Nekyia"! Favorite track: The Cult of Hecate.

Melissa Bonny is the best symphonic female vocalist not named Floor Jansen. Sadly, Ad Infinitum chooses to throw in incomprehensible death metal growling - which I flatly can't stand. The band seems to have lost a bit of identity and direction. moving_pictures
